A large stoneware tea mug with a soft white glaze and warm clay polka dots. Snow White makes the dotted pattern especially clear, while the simple shape keeps the focus on the clay and glaze. It stacks with tea mugs of the same size to save cupboard space.

THE WAY IT'S MADE SHAPES WHAT YOU SEE

Each mug is made entirely by hand using traditional pottery techniques. After glazing, the artisan patiently removes small circles of glaze, one at a time, to reveal the clay beneath.

The dots are not painted on: their colour comes from the exposed clay itself. Together with the unglazed foot ring, they create a contrast in colour and texture against the glazed surface.
