An everyday coffee mug in an earthy green glaze, with lighter polka dots of exposed clay. Its medium size sits between the larger tea mug and the compact espresso cup. The shape allows coffee mugs of the same size to nest neatly together when not in use.

THE WAY IT'S MADE SHAPES WHAT YOU SEE

Each mug is made entirely by hand using traditional pottery techniques. After glazing, the artisan patiently removes small circles of glaze, one at a time, to reveal the clay beneath.

The dots are not painted on: their colour comes from the exposed clay itself. Together with the unglazed foot ring, they create a contrast in colour and texture against the glazed surface.
